 Opportunities to Serve on Campus

We seek to create space in our chapter where both old and new members can feel welcomed and excited to be in a Christ-centered community. From greeting students at large groups, to providing snacks at meetings, or planning fun social events like salsa dance classes - we do it all! Are you interested in or skilled at creating a fun and inviting atmosphere? We'd love to hear from you!
This team uses their creativity and design skills to produce clean, creative and high quality powerpoint slides that help communicate important information to IllinoisIV chapter members at Large Group. The Powerpoint team will have two main responsibilities: 1) creating weekly powerpoint slides and 2) running powerpoint to help enhance the production value and quality of each Large Group. The Powerpoint team is essential to a well-run Large Group because producing succinct and well-crafted slides enables chapter members to understand important information that helps recruit and connect them to events that deepen their relationships with Jesus and others.

We believe that we can experience more of God through all of our senses. We seek to implement creative elements in our weekly large groups so that our chapter can experience God and community in new ways. Are you skilled in an art form? Savvy with a camera or video editing? Desire to see creative ways for our chapter to respond to God's word? Whether or not you are artistic, we'd love to hear from you!
This team utilizes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Vimeo to connect with the broader IllinoisIV community. Their main responsibility is to keep chapter members updated on upcoming chapter events and to post pictures and highlight special moments during and after those events. The Social Media Squad shares the goal of making the broader IllinoisIV community feel like home to the average chapter member through the use of different social media platforms.
This team is comprised of videographers, editors, music experts, directors and actors who work together to create videos that connect with the broader IllinoisIV community specifically at Large Group. The Video Team will receive a general video idea or concept from the Chapter Events Team and will be responsible for brainstorming and creating a video that reflects the values the CET has for that particular Large Group.
This team uses their creative and artistic skills through drawing or graphic design to make publicity physically and digitally. The Publicity Team will have two main responsibilities: 1) creating publicity digitally for an upcoming Large Group or chapter event and/or 2) designing and creating physical posters/displays that will be used to enhance the visual effect and theme of a Large Group.
I have always enjoyed filming and editing as it is my way of getting my creativity out. Working with different people in InterVarsity makes the deal even sweeter!

With a chapter of over 200 students, we are always in need of good administrators to get things running smoothly. Facilitating rides to and from conferences, collecting and entering data from contact cards, and organizing registrations for events are just some examples of what we do!
